The Association of periOperative Registered Nurses (AORN) and Advanced Practice Strategies, Inc., (APS) provide practice support to surgical nurses and promote safety and optimal outcomes for patients undergoing operative and other invasive procedures. As the leader in advocating for excellence in perioperative practice and healthcare, the partnership between AORN and APS presents a series of online educational courseware for the surgical team.

The APS Surgical Safety Series was created in collaboration with AORN perioperative professionals to empower nurses in surgical settings, improve surgical teams' communications, and reduce the risk for surgical errors.
